Chat Time-Out

Chat automatically ends if the time of waiting expires. The time may expire in the following cases:

  • After you send the first message, you will see the five-minute timer. 
    Chat timer
    • Note: If an Agent does not connect to the chat during this time, the chat will end automatically. 
    Chat end
  • After you receive a message from an Agent, the system will wait for your answer for five minutes without a timer shown in the Chat window. After the five minutes, the five-minute Are you still here? timer appears.
    • Note: If you do not answer the Agent during this time, the chat ends automatically.

After the chat ended, you can:

  • Start a new chat.
  • Close the Chat window by selecting the Close icon in the upper-right corner of it.
